Dear Adventure Park Team,

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Chris and I am writing on behalf of ABC Company. We are planning a team-building event for our employees and are interested in organizing a group activity at your adventure park.

Could you please provide details about the activities you offer for corporate groups? We are particularly interested in team-oriented challenges that encourage collaboration and communication. Additionally, we would appreciate information about your availability for late March, pricing for groups of approximately 20 to 25 people, and any special packages you might have for corporate events.

If poSsible, could you also share details about the duration of each activity and whether you provide any additional services, such as catering or transportation arrangements? This information will help us finalize our plans.

We are excited about the possibility of hosting our event at your park and look forward to your response. Please let us know if you require any additional information from our side.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

CELPIP Writing Samples Question 2

Question 2:

You are a tenant in an apartment building, and the elevator has been out of service for over a week. This has caused significant inconvenience for you and other residents.

Write an email to your property manager in about 150-200 words. Your email should include:

  • Mention how long the elevator has been out of service.
  • Explain the difficulties this has caused for you and other residents.
  • Request immediate action to repair the elevator and suggest a follow-up plan.

CELPIP Writing Samples Answers

Dear Sir,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a pressing issue regarding the elevator in our apartment building, which has been out of service for over a week. This situation has caused significant inconvenience for me and other residents.

As you know, many of us rely on the elevator for daily activities, especially elderly residents or families with young children. The lack of a functioning elevator has made it difficult to carry groceries, move strollers and access upper floors. Also, the stairs are not a feasible alternative for everyone and the outage is becoming increasingly frustrating.

I kindly request that you take immediate action to repair the elevator. It would also be helpful if you could provide us with a follow-up plan, including a timeline for repairs and regular updates on the progress.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and resolution.

Best regards,

Chris

CELPIP Writing Samples Question 1

Your city is planning to build a new recreational facility, but there is a debate about what type of facility would benefit the community most. The city has sent you a survey asking you to identify and explain your preference for:

Option A: A public swimming pool
Option B: A community sports complex

CELPIP Writing Samples Answer

I express my gratitude for including me in this survey regarding community preference for deciding the new recreational facility.

I would prefer a community sports complex because it offers a wide range of benefits for the entire community. A sports complex would provide facilities for multiple activities, such as basketball, soccer, and tennis, catering to people of all ages and interests. This inclusively ensures that more residents can enjoy the facility, promoting physical health and social interaction. For example, families can participate in weekend tournaments, while teenagers can join after-school sports programs.

Nevertheless, a sports complex has the potential to host events and competitions, which could generate revenue for the city and attract visitors. Additionally, it can serve as a hub for community gatherings, fostering a sense of unity among residents. This makes it a more practical option that will benefit a large portion of the population in the long run.

CELPIP Writing Samples Question 2

Your city is planning to reduce traffic congestion and is considering two options. They have asked for your opinion. Please identify and explain your preference for:

Option A: Building more bike lanes to encourage cycling
Option B: Expanding the public transit system to include more buses and routes

CELPIP Writing Samples Answer

I express my gratitude for including me in this survey regarding reducing traffic congestion in our city.

I would prefer building more bike lanes to encourage cycling because it offers a sustainable and health-focused solution to the problem. Bike lanes provide a safe and dedicated space for cyclists, encouraging more people to choose cycling over driving. This not only reduces the number of vehicles on the road but also promotes physical fitness and reduces air pollution. For example, students can cycle to school, and professionals can commute to work without contributing to traffic congestion.

Furthermore, bike lanes are cost-effective to maintain compared to expanding public transit systems. They also have a smaller environmental footprint, as they do not require fuel or electricity to operate. By encouraging cycling, the city can foster a culture of sustainability and healthy living among its residents.

In conclusion, building more bike lanes is a practical and forward-thinking solution that addresses traffic congestion while promoting environmental and personal well-being.
