Additionally, our instructor will use ‘role play’ to examine the student’s communication and customer service.

Hospitality Management Courses included but not limited to:

  • Theories and Methods of Hotel Management
  • Leadership in Hospitality Management
  • Human Resource in Hotels
  • Financial Management
  • Hotel marketing
  • Laws and regulations in the tourism industry

AHLEI is the global leader in hospitality training and hotel management certification. The AHLEI certificate is recognized by 54 countries, therefore, students can capitalize on this advantage and work globally.

Hotel Visit to the River Rock Casino Resort

In August 2019, the instructor at Create Career College took the hospitality management students for a hotel visit at the River Rock Casino Resort. During the 3-hour visit, students stopped backstage of the River Rock Theatre, entered the luxury suite, and the hotel manager taught everyone to fold the bedding based on the 5-star hotel standard. Finally, everyone enjoyed a feast at The Buffet.

Paid Internship for the Hospitality Management Program

The internship can enable college students to practice their in-class theory. Whether students choose a one-year certificate program or a two-year diploma program, Create Career College would provide them with work opportunities (up to 48 weeks). Our career advisor will help students to tailor their resumes and provide mock interviews. Some of our previous students worked as coffee baristas at a local coffee shop and other students worked at the Hilton Hotel as front desk assistants. Vancouver is a tourist city, if a job seeker speaks two or more languages, it will add points to the job search. According to the Vancouver Tourism Bureau, Chinese tourists are the second largest tourist group by volume, so the hospitality industry needs employees who can understand Chinese culture.

In August 2020, Create Career College will launch the hospitality management courses again, students are free to choose between the 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma program. Both programs contain local paid work terms.

Additionally, when students are studying full-time at Create Career College (with a study permit), they can work part-time for local companies.
