Canadian Resume Contents 1: Objective

The first content that we have to write in Canadian resume is “objective”.

For Objective, you should summarize why you are applying for that job or position in about 1-3 sentences. Since the Objective appears prominently at the top of the resume, it’s crucial to carefully consider and craft this section.

Canadian Resume Contents 2: Personal Information

The next essential section is your personal information.

In countries like Japan, resumes often include gender, age, date of birth and a formal photo. However, such details are not required in a Canadian resume.

In a Canadian resume, personal information typically includes your name, phone number, email address, and address. Regarding the address, it’s acceptable to provide just the city without specifying the exact location. You may also include links to your LinkedIn profile or portfolio in this section, providing hiring managers with a deeper insight into your skills and background.

Canadian Resume Contents 3: Work Experience

The subsequent section to include in a Canadian Resume is your work experience. Within this section, succinctly list the job title, duties, and duration. In Canada, it’s not necessary to detail every job you’ve held, but it’s essential to highlight relevant work experiences related to the position you’re applying for. You can include work experience from other countries as well as any volunteer or internship roles.
